[Feature request] Mac version: Audiobookshelf / Calibre integration, to match the recent iOS/iPadOS changes (+ a UI question about the add buttons)
Loving the Mac app so far, but the import flow is the one thing standing between me and actually using it properly—and it's now behind iOS/iPadOS.
On the Mac version, the only way in is the Finder file browser: drag a file onto the drop zone, or pick it from the dialog. That's fine for a handful of books. It falls apart once your library already lives somewhere structured.
The request: bring the Mac app in line with the latest iOS/iPadOS changes and let it read from an existing library, especially Audiobookshelf and Calibre.
Even a read-only "browse and pick from my library" picker — no syncing, nothing written back — would turn a per-book chore into two clicks.
If the app could see both libraries at once and suggest likely epub/audiobook matches by title and author, that'd be the killer feature. But even plain library browsing without matching would be a big improvement over Finder—and it'd mean the Mac and iOS versions behave the same way.
Separate question about the Mac UI: there seem to be five different ways to add a book — drag onto the drop zone, the "choose files…" link inside the drop zone, the "Add books…" button at the bottom left, and the menu item plus shortcut key. Do these actually do different things? I assumed "Add books…" might add a folder or offer import options, but it looks like it opens the same picker as "choose files…". If they're identical, having both on screen at once is a bit puzzling — is one a holdover from an earlier layout?
