Lesson learned: not every blade is good with every razor

So I started out with a Gillette Flare Tip and some King C Gillette blades and everything was fine. I bought a Travel Tech for, y'know, travel, and I liked it. So I bought a gold Ball End Tech and like it a lot. I finished the King C's and moved to green Astra and love those.

So tonight I decided to break out the Flare Tip. Fitted a new Astra and… had the worst shave I've ever had. It felt like I carved chunks out of my face. My bathroom looked like a horror movie.

Not sure what the issue is. Both the Tech and the Flare are supposed to be mild. But man, that was bad. And the alum block after felt like I was blasting my face with a flame thrower.
