AITA for telling my husbands that he can f*** off after his female coworker bought him a coffee.
I am a SAHM and a couple of months ago I got a job for a second income. I worked at this job for around 2 months before my husband my me quit. One of the reasons I had to leave was because I received a smoothie from a male coworker. I had opened at 6:30 in the morning and didn't get off til around 4 pm. This particular day we didn't have a lot of guys working, but the guy that did come in is gay. He knew I was leaving soon and he got me a smoothie including 2 other female employees. When my husband came to pick me up he was acting distant. I asked him whats wrong and he said when did you go get a smoothie. I told him it was given to me and he was pissed. I told him to calm down because the guy was gay. He obviously didn't care and told me to throw it away. I told him I would not and he told me to get out of the car. I refuse and told him that I just won't drink it.
Fast forward a few months, my husband had to do a clopen (close then open). He told me that his coworker bought him a coffee to which I said was nice of her. I did ask him if he drank it and he did. I said since when do we take drinks from the opposite sex, because last time I did i was told to throw it away. He said that this was different because he got a coffee not a smoothie. I said it's not different and that it was still a drink from another women. He said coffees serve a purpose and smoothies don't. I called him a hypocrite. He said that i obviously didn't care about him because he had to work a clopen and all I was worried about was the coffee. I will have you know that one of the first things I asked him when he called me was how he was feeling, and if he was okay. We argued on and off about it for about 2 hours before I told him that he could just f*** right off because it was clear that his own rules didn't apply to him. I told him that if a guy gets me a drink he better not say s*** about it. I am still unclear about how I feel about his response. So please tell me AITAH.
