Fiddler’s blew my mind

Alpine is my home venue, so had to travel this year if I wanted to get my annual show/s in. We could’ve picked anywhere closer but decided on Colorado for timing reasons. And I am SO glad we did! I added NINE new songs to my list this weekend, including my holy grail, Snow Outside! I missed it by one day in 2015 and then they preceded not to play it for ten years. (Except just once in 2016). I was certain I’d missed my chance. I was so shocked when they actually played it. And two slots after Long Black Veil too?!

Night two I casually mentioned I wasn’t sure what I wanted to hear because night one gave me more than I ever expected, but Alligtor Pie or Eh Hee would be cool. AND THEN THEY PROCEEDED TO PLAY BOTH OF THOSE TOO!!! I am still in awe over that. I loved the venue, I know some are meh about it but I thought it was great. The crowd was great too. First time ever I haven’t heard people just chatting away over the entire show, so that was amazing. What a freaking surreal time. So glad I had the privilege of being there!!
