Is there a "story txt" or something similar?

To make it clear: I started watching and my friend has been explaining stuff but where did the names come from? like numbers for ricks and stuff. and how am I supposed to understand which one of the identical ricks is currently shown? I am more of a reader so maybe I missed something but yeah.
