How can I improve as a producer/DJ while living in a small city?

Other

Hey everyone,
I’m from Turkey and I live in a pretty small city, so there isn’t much of a music scene around me, especially when it comes to electronic music, DJing, or music production.
I’m really interested in becoming better at both DJing and producing. I’ve been learning and experimenting on my own, but lately I’ve been wondering what the best way to actually improve is when you don’t have many musicians, producers, DJs, clubs, or events around you.
My current setup is pretty simple. I have Ableton Live, a Maschine Mikro MK3, a MIDI keyboard, an audio interface, and an electric guitar. I’m interested in electronic music, especially house, techno, UK garage, jungle/grime and sometimes R&B-inspired stuff. I also really enjoy taking existing songs and turning them into edits/remixes or building new intros for DJ sets.
I feel like I have a lot of ideas, but I want to get better at actually turning those ideas into finished tracks.
If you were in my position, what would you focus on?
Should I spend more time learning music theory and playing guitar/keyboard? Sound design? Arrangement? Mixing? Sampling? Remaking tracks that I like?
And how would you connect with other producers and DJs if you lived somewhere without much of a local scene?
I’m not necessarily looking for a shortcut. I just want to make sure I’m putting my time into the right things instead of endlessly watching tutorials.
Any advice, resources, exercises, communities, or even personal experiences would be really appreciated.
Thanks!
