Why are so many people willing to overlook the horrible actions of celebrities?

I understand the innocent until proven guilty thing but when there is evidence they have done terrible things especially when they have a track record why are some people willing to overlook and defend it? They don’t know these people so it doesn’t make sense to defend them as strongly as they do when they’re being called out for something. They are just people too at the end of the day and because of their status they’re more likely to get away with things so by defending it won’t help the case. It may even lead to victim blaming

Take my sister for example she likes Drake and refuses to see him as bad even though it’s been proven that Drake is a creep. What is the mindset behind this?
