What is polybutylane and why will it prevent me from getting condo insurance?

Hi, trying to buy a 2BR/2BA condo in Florida.

The community is 1992 and home inspector confirmed it has "Poly-B" piping inside the walls.

Seller and other residents (200+ units) don't seem to be too concerned, and all seem to have insurance. Inspector says it's a risk of bursting at any time and that it'll be very difficult to get insurance.

Have you encountered this? If so, how do people deal with it? It's a 3rd floor unit and I don't want to be liable for water damages for the floors below. I've read advice to replace it, but seems also like many people are living with it.

A friend suggested I look into an electronic Leak-detection system with an electric valve, moisture sensors and a flow sensor that would detect if a pipe had burst and would turn off the water automatically.
