Sexual health question - NSFW -- squirting lol
TLDR: Will an oophorectomy jeopardize my well functioning sexual appetite (and squirting abilities?)?
~~~
Hey all, popping in with maybe a little hope and a question...
I got diagnosed de novo at 31 last November with ER+/PR+/HER2-negative Bone-dominant / oligometastatic Luminal A biology. One spot in spine and potentially one in rib. Two PIK3CA genes expressed.
Since then, I've been on Letrozole, ribocyclib, and Goserelin, plus a clinical trial drug targeting my Pik3 mutations (daily pill).
I feel beyond grateful that despite these 9 months of chaos, many of my somatic fears have yet to come true. I look like myself, I feel like myself, and for most of most days I've been able to but my stage 4/ Ogliometastatic diagnosis to the side. I'm still working full time and....
still experiencing full sexual pleasure!
I do not take this lightly. Every orgasm feels truly miraculous to me. I hate that that is even something I have to feel at 32. All this still sucks but I'm grateful.
One thing I wanted to share because I GOOGLED LIKE HELL when I was diagnosed and looking for anecdotes... I am still able to squirt!
Like a lot, still!
Maybe this will give some other newly diagnosed folks hope?
I had a question I've been turning over that I want advice on.
There's lots of good reasons to get a oophorectomy to remove both ovaries.
- I'm at my out of pocket maximum, so a sunk surgical cost
- I wouldn't have to go monthly for Goserelin
- Goserelin is super expensive if I lose my insurance / job changes
- not majorrrrr surgery
- many say the same as Goserelin effects
- my estradiol levels were not being surpressed properly in April: this would alleviate fear or seeping estrogen production
BUT
SURGERY IS NONREVERSIBLE
And my sexual quality of life is so good right now. I'm also queer and my sexual energy is aligned with my sense of identity. I'm a big lover girl.
I'm curious if anyone else can weigh in on HOW THIS ANATOMICAL SURGERY impacted them??
Bonus points for any SQUIRTER or squirt commentary? Feel free to DM me if this feels private to you.
Thoughts on discourse in research that ovarian estrogen isn't typically tracked and may not be a big influence on health outcomes?
THANK YOU and thank you each of you for your participation and sharing your stories.
Sending big love to each of you!
