Yoga laptop shutting down without energy saver warning

Its a few years old but worked fine up until a couple weeks ago I was having problems with my wifi and it wasnt connecting properly after a long trip away. So I had gemini AI asstistant give me tips on what might be causing the problem. Long story short, i made a bunch of changes. The battery, settings, etc. And I thought I changed it back correctly, low battery level, critical battery level, energy saver etc. But now I have the energy saver set to kick in around 25% and I am typically not paying attention and instead of giving some warning, like a dim screen or yellow battery bar on the toolbar, it will just shut down and completely drain. Like a few minutes before I might check and its at 40% and then I get distracted, continue my work and it will just go black. This is obviously while its disconnected.
Is there anything Im missing, aside from that its a few years old? Like I said, it was fine up until a few weeks ago, made some changes and now its acting differently.
