How can I quickly raise my iron levels before surgery?

My doctor told me (30F) that I’m anemic and recommend that I take 65 mg of iron daily. I plan on taking Vitron C. But is there more I can do? I just don’t want the bisalp surgery to be postponed or cancelled cause of this.
