M64 causing strange eARC issues

Got my M64 the other day connected it and everything seemed great. Turned on my tv to play my PS5 and found it weird that my sound bar didn’t turn on. Kept messing with settings and the whole nine yards and couldn’t get the sound bar to connect via eARC. I finally decided to unplug the hdmi cable from the mod retro and boom it instantly connected. Replicated the issue multiple times by reconnecting the hdmi to the M64. The wierd part is that even though the console is off it still causes issues.
Tv is a Samsung QN90D and a Samsung Q930F soundbar.
