Embedded Security Courses
Embedded Security courses — looking for early learners
Hi everyone,
I’m an embedded security engineer working professionally on secure embedded systems, and I’m planning to start offering practical courses/workshops on Embedded & IoT Security.
The focus is not just on slides and theory. I want the courses to be hands-on and engineering-oriented, using real microcontrollers and firmware.
Topics I’m considering:
• Secure Boot & Chain of Trust
• Firmware Reverse Engineering
• Embedded Threat Modeling
• ARM TrustZone / MPU
• Secure Firmware Updates (OTA)
• Firmware Extraction & Analysis
• Debug interfaces (JTAG/SWD) and attack surfaces
• Cryptography in embedded systems
• Secure Key Storage
• Fault Injection & Side-Channel Attack fundamentals
• Firmware vulnerability analysis
- Practical security architecture for IoT devices
The idea is to take participants from:
“I know cybersecurity” → “I can actually analyze and secure an embedded device.”
I’m considering starting with a small live cohort so I can make the material highly practical and improve the course based on participant feedback.
If you work with MCUs, firmware, IoT, automotive, industrial systems, or embedded security, I’d be interested to know:
What embedded-security topic would you most like to learn hands-on?
If there is enough interest, I’ll share the first course outline and a free introductory session.
(This is not a polished commercial course yet — I’m looking for feedback and a small group of early learners.)
