I tried to have sex and a girl who I thought loved me, and she ghosted me now. I feel so terrible now, what do I do?
I'm a 21 year old guy and I'm honestly feeling pretty awful right now and don't really know what to do. I wanted my first time having sex to be with someone I was actually committed to and cared about. I thought I had that with this girl. We had been seeing each other for a while and I genuinely thought she loved me, so I eventually felt comfortable enough to take that step with her.
It happened last weekend and it went horribly. Before anything happened, I did tell her that I was on the shorter side. I didn't give her the exact specifics, but I made my point clear. She told me she was completely fine with it.
We were making out and everything seemed normal. Then she pulled my pants down and looked at me for a few seconds. She just said "No" Then she suddenly said she wasn't feeling well. The way she was looking at me made it pretty obvious to me that something had changed when she saw me. I didn't argue with her or pressure her into anything. I just felt completely humiliated.
She left shortly afterward and blocked me. I haven't heard anything from her since. I've always known I'm under 4 inches and I've obviously been insecure about it, but I never thought someone I trusted and thought genuinely cared about me would react that way. I know nobody owes me sex and she's absolutely allowed to change her mind at any point, but being rejected like that and then immediately blocked has really messed with my head.
feel embarrassed, rejected, and kind of worthless. I keep thinking about what happened and wondering if there's something fundamentally wrong with me or if I'm just never going to be able to have a normal sex life.
How do I get over this without letting it completely destroy my confidence?
