I've had this pre 2004 Aeron Classic for over a decade, my mom took it home with her from her previous employer when they were just gonna throw it out after replacing it. IIRC, they got it as a donation from a Cadillac dealership. She didn't know what it was at the time, and neither did I until years later when I started seeing some posts about these chairs come up online. It's had a small tear in the seat base mesh since before she took it home, and recently the gas strut started sagging pretty bad. I ordered all the parts I needed to replace from OfficeLogix in February, which didn't arrive until last week (long story short, the base mesh was on backorder when I ordered it, and they kind of just forgot about my order until I emailed their customer service about it months later). I replaced the gas strut first, followed by the base mesh and padding. The base mesh didn't go on great, so we'll see how long it lasts. I stripped a couple of the screws because the front lip really didn't want to go together, my fault. Boy does it make a world of difference all put back together. Also, I didn't realize there was a mfg date under the clamshell, which helped me narrow down the year of manufacture to 2003, since the tag on the underside of the chair has long since worn off. I've spent many long days in this chair, and look forward to being able to continue using it without immediately getting sore.

Finally fixed up my Aeron
