Idea for S5 and how to bring legacy skate spots to the current game.

Here’s a fun idea I wish they could’ve implemented for Season 5. Obviously it’s way too late now, but I can’t stop thinking about it lol.

We know SUMR Camp is on a mountain island across the water from San Vansterdam, and based on previous roadmaps, we know they’ve at least talked about bringing back legacy spots from the older Skate games.

So imagine the Season 5 intro playing when you first load it up. It’s showing SUMR Camp and you hear “Welcome to SUMR Camp, nestled along the backside of Cougar Mountain…”

That alone would be such a cool hint that San Vanelona is just on the other side of the mountain. You can’t see it or get there yet, but now they have an actual place in the world where they could eventually add legacy spots. It would be kind of weird to just drop the Art Gallery, Community Center, school, or other legacy spots somewhere in San Vansterdam. This gives those places somewhere to actually exist in the world.

They obviously wouldn’t have to build out all of San Vanelona (although that would be awesome 🤞). They could eventually have a ferry or bus take you around to the other side of the mountain and drop you at the Art Gallery, Community Center, or whatever legacy spot they want to bring back. Just that one Cougar Mountain reference would open up so many possibilities.
