Finding 2D pixel art creator working on commission

Hello, I am interested in getting some 2D pixel art for my game; characters, background, terrain, some animation - you name it.

What's the process of finding artists who can do this? Of course I want to pay for the work and am interested in a good professional friendly casual exchange.

My current plan is to look on existing asset portals for styles that I find interesting and research if those artists offer paid work.
