Trigger symptoms

General Question

Hi everyone,

This post might get a bit long winded, so apologies in advance…
I’m having my first endoscopy next week, hoping to get some answers to my issues and hopefully relieve some anxiety I’ve been having over the past few months.

I was wondering what symptoms some of you have after eating a trigger food?
As I don’t know if I have EoE yet (though the GI suspects this may be the case based on my symptoms etc), I naturally don’t know what my triggers are.
With that said I’m thinking they are eggs and soy. Mostly based on when I’ve had “issues” in the past.
Over the past month or so at least, I’ve not really had any eggs, one of the last times I had them I had them feel “stuck” which sent me into a bit of a panic as you can imagine. The only time after that, I ate half a boiled egg haha.
Anyway, what I have noticed is that the next day after eating them I’ve always felt a bit more “anxious”, the weird thing is not anxious over anything in particular, but just that general body feeling, not even that something is wrong perse. I don’t remember how long it lasted last time, and I don’t know how long it will last this time. (I added an egg to some soup last night and today I’ve been feeling off).

Of course this could be due to something else outside of EoE, though someone posted earlier mentioning that they had similar feelings with anxiety (though more “impending doom”).

Finally, I know people on her mention dupixent a lot, if I do happen to have EoE, should I push for it? Afaik the clinic I’m going to will hand me over to an allergist/dietician at first to try and narrow down any triggers. It may be that if I need a dilation they send me to a hospital to do it, at which point I’ll probably ask to have on-going management transferred as it’s closer to home.
