Neighborhood Vibe Check

Hi! I’m considering buying a house around 8th & Magnolia. Currently live near the Superior Court and I like that neighborhood fine. How safe is it further towards 8th?

I have friends that lived around 10th a few years ago and they’re concerned because their neighborhood had frequent gunshots / assaults at that time. Is that still the case?
