built a family care-coordination app solo while learning to code – stack + the lesson that cost me most

huddlecare – when a family takes care of someone together (aging parent, kid, pet), everyone shares one space: tasks, med logging, calendar, notes, documents. live at huddlecare.app + app store + google play, free tier.

backstory: non-engineer, built it solo while learning to code. stack: ionic + react + typescript, firebase (firestore/functions/auth), stripe for web subscriptions. one codebase for web, ios, android.

the lesson that's cost me the most: household products have team-level activation. the app is worth nothing to a family until everyone's in it – one holdout keeps the whole family in the group chat. so onboarding isn't about selling the organizer who signed up, it's about not losing the reluctant relative who never chose the app. still figuring that out.

happy to answer anything about the stack or building solo from zero, and would love roasts on the landing page / onboarding.
