SKL I cried eating my birthday cake

It was my (30M) birthday a few days ago. I happily treated my family with expensive lunch and in turn they suprised me with a cake. That day, the house was full of noise and laughter.

Few days has passed and after I finished my WFH work, I went down to the kitchen to eat dinner. Its the same routine again, I either make my own dinner or eat what my sibling has cooked before they leave for night shift work. So there I was mindlessly doomscrolling while eating when I remembered my cake in the freezer. I got excited having that for dessert.

However while I was eating the cake, I realized I was enjoying it by myself. I enjoyed how sweet and soft and tasty the cake was but I had no one to share that moment with. It was my birthday cake but I was eating it by myself. I realized at that moment that I was alone. My birthday cake, which is something I should be enjoying eating, reminded me that I'm alone in this house since my family has either died, migrated, or work at nights.

So I cried. I never thought I'd cry about something like this.

My birthday wish is that I wont be lonely for my future birthdays.
