How do you stop similar filler names from being mixed up in internal records?
Brand families with several variants are a recurring data problem. Someone shortens the name, another person copies a description from a nearby page, and the internal sheet gradually stops matching the public catalog.
For the Elasty G Plus product page, I would preserve the variant name in the primary product field and use a separate family field for grouping. That keeps search and reporting flexible without collapsing distinct pages into one record.
I am not looking for clinical comparisons. I am interested in catalog controls: unique IDs, naming conventions, aliases, and change logs. What has worked best for teams managing many similar SKUs?
