Is it better to OE or have your own business

I’m wondering if I should keep investing into creating a business so I can actually be financially free or just get multiple jobs as the job market is pretty bad and I’d want assets to pass on to my kids. Plus the potential upside might very well be waaaaaay more than stacking jobs. What do you guys think?
