Help me I'm scared.
I’m recently out of undergrad and starting to look into applications for law school. I took the LSAT last September and got a 156, but after a year hiatus and resuming full time studying in May, my PTs are now consistently around 168–172. I know my actual score could be different but I am hoping to get something in the high 160s/low 170s.
I graduated with a 3.9 GPA, triple major, summa cum laude, Honors College, and many extracurriculars/leadership experiences. I’m particularly interested in corporate law and currently live in the DMV.
My current school list is:
- Georgetown
- GW
- UVA
- UMD
- UCLA
- USC
Assuming I score somewhere around 168–172, am I reaching too high? Are these good schools for corporate law/working in the DMV, and are there others I should consider? I really want to go to a T30.
Also, should I start working on applications/personal statement now or wait until I have my LSAT score? And what exactly is CAS? I’m paying for everything out of pocket. I’ve been DoorDashing this summer to help pay for everything while studying, so I’m trying to be smart about application expenses.
Basically, I’d really appreciate any advice on school selection, application timing, scholarships, CAS, or anything else you wish you knew before applying.
