Tiff 250$ membership- worth it for a filmmaker or not?????

Basically I have a problem with myself personally and I am trying to break out of it by continuing my short film thats already 2 years into production because of this downfall Ive had, as well to jump start my journey again. I may just be reaching out to grab some sort of hand but I knew about the under 25 memberships and i had one and liked the space it gave to sit an work but never really used it. I guess im trying to pay to play right now but Im wanting to do the membership so I can kind of use the facility as a work place, make friends who I enjoy who are also about film, watching movies at discounts an ect ect. Please let me know if im stretching this and would be wasting my money.
I am a writer/ director and would want to utilize the opportunity properly.
