I had to do a reset after my first service

Is this normal after a vehicle service? This is my first car that is new enough that it will connect to my Android phone.

2026 Traverse had its first service. I believe all they did is an oil oil change and tire rotation, but they had no documentation as what what they did. And since was was my first service, was was free. So I don't know if they also did a software update on the car, but in the not too distant past, updates were downloaded and installed.

Normally, when I turn on my car, I need to enter a PIN, it automatically connects to my phone, and I can move on with my life as I drive away.

After the service, I had to manually connect to my phone and then I had to manually give permissions to things both on the car and on the phone. After having to do this three times, I used Google and it told me I should reset the system by holding down the phone hang up button on the car.

Sure enough, that worked, and then it went back to the normal behavior.

Is this normal after a vehicle service?
