Why did Jotaro not loo for polnareff and what happen post part 5

While this question's been asked many times from Polnareff side with the answer being very simple, he can't reach out for help because he was horribly crippled and outgoing communications were being tracked, i've always wondered why Jotaro didn't go looking for his friend himself.

We know the two of them work together for some time looking into the arrows and both worked with and for the speedwagon foundation, so was he just not informed about his friend's mission , if so , does this mean he never bothered staying in contact with him ( which maybe given how he is with his daughter)

But it seems weird that after the speedwagon foundation lost contact with Polnareff shorly after a while , they'd sends someone to check, do they also just not bother informing jotero.

The second part that i've always wondered about is post part 5 Polnareff is living as a ghost in a turtle we know he has limited time ( how long isn't specified) i've always wondered if he ever reached out to his old friend tried to keep in contact with him or just let him know He's still there.
