Creating my own Java Minecraft server?

sooooo I need some help? I do some *light* gaming and want to set up a java Minecraft server from my PC for my 5-6 friends to play on. But all the "tutorials" I can find are super confusing or demeaning when you ask questing at all. I would love love love some help if anyone has any advice or tips and tricks! I already have my mod pack built through Curseforge. TYIA !! <<33
