How do you naturally transition from a friendly conversation to a date?

Discussion

I initially wrote a much longer, frustrated draft about my dating life (you can see exactly what my original thought process was, but I realized my core issue is just not knowing how to navigate dating authentically.

I’m trying to be more intentional about putting myself out there. While looking for genuine advice online, I kept seeing ads for a course called the "Girlfriend Activation System."

I’m naturally skeptical. The marketing is incredibly aggressive and gives off major old-school pickup-artist vibes. Some of the claims in their materials—like the idea that women have something in their DNA that makes them fall for men who trigger a hidden fantasy—just sound creepy and manipulative. I have absolutely zero interest in playing mind games or treating human connection like an algorithm to be optimized. My goal is simply to become a better communicator, read social cues properly, and learn how to ask a woman out without making the interaction feel awkward or forced.

For guys who have actually looked at this course:

  • Is there any real, grounded advice on building self-confidence and boundaries hidden underneath the flashy marketing?
  • Or is it 100% superficial manipulation that I should avoid entirely?

(Note on the link: I originally wanted to link directly to the course page so you could see the exact claims, but Reddit's automated spam filters often remove posts that contain external promotional URLs based on domain reputation. To ensure this post doesn't get silently shadowbanned or deleted, I will post the link down in the comments instead.)
