Cancer Mercury makes it hard to deep-talk?

Hi, so I’ve been in touch with this man. By “in touch” I mean barely communicating - this guy’s conversation is very surface-level and he doesn’t show anything about himself except when I found a point to ask, his social media updates are just work portos and running. It’s not an equal trade. My chart is overall very fiery despite Water main:
Cancer Sun, Pisces Rising, Sagi Moon, Leo Mercury, Leo Venus, Libra Mars.

Someone had said this is very good synastry for marriage but no, not yet. His parents really, really want me to be the one - they were 70-60yo, old pregnancy, son is early 30s. I’m 27.

Back to the topic, is it the Mercury and Mars that makes us hard to communicate? Knowing Cancers are secretive.
