Where are the alleged $20 per night retreats?

I've seen posts taking back to 4 years ago asking where to find cheap retreats, the most recent 1 year back.

I'm very skeptical about doing one in the US and doubt it will be as immersive as going to a rainforest like I see most people doing.

I see people saying areas in Brazil and other similar locations have $20-$50 retreats.

But they never elaborate who or where or how to look. I tried hunting on Google but couldn't find anything cheaper than $300. Most $1000K+.

If there's a trust worthy secluded retreat in the U.S. that's under $500 lmk!
