Budget places to stay first week in Bangkok

Best budget friendly hostels/small hotels for single female traveler? I’m looking for recommendations for inexpensive yet comfortable and friendly places to stay my first week in Thailand, which will be spent in Bangkok. I’m checking out the markets the first week, plus Ayutthaya… my friend suggested Talat Noi and Chinatown… but I don’t know what places specifically to stay at there… if you know of any cool places (I’m sure there are a lot) let me know.
