Cervical Checks

I'm officially 38 weeks today with a scheduled induction for 9/9 and I was expecting to have cervical checks starting at 36 weeks from what I was reading, but I haven't had one yet. I'm a FTM so this is all new to me. If you had a scheduled induction, do they still do the checks? I've been some Braxton hicks, but nothing crazy.

I have an appointment tomorrow so not sure if I should ask for one if they don't perform one? Do they hurt?
