Suture/stitches removal experience?

Hey guys, I got my bottom left wisdom removed 5 days ago and have non dissolvable stitches in place. If you also had non dissolvable stitches after the op, could you please share after how long were they removed by the doctor and how was the experience? Was it painful and was it a short term pain or lasted for longer? Also, once the stitches r removed should i consider myself all good and start eating and rinsing/brushing normally?
