BT Semenyo: Re-rating
There's been a massive clamor for a Big Time Semenyo re-rating. After he fell out of my top 10 SS list 10 days ago, I also felt he deserved a second look. To avoid any suspicion of bias, I held off on publishing this re-evaluation until now.
Here are the reasons for re-rating BT Semenyo:
1️⃣ He was released shortly after the "small, fast, and agile meta" ended, before the value of heavy ball-carriers was widely recognized.
2️⃣ The last three consecutive versions have all been a "chaotic meta" that heavily favors a ball-carrier's physical stats. Attackers who can shield off defenders while remaining agile are extremely popular.
3️⃣ Over the past six months, card power creep in the SS position either dropped SSS-tier players that reshuffled the top 3, or released unique players that filled out the top 10. Classic top-5 tier cards like BT Leão and Hoeneß haven't been displaced, so it's time for a power-level reassessment based on the current version.
Thus, today's focus is re-evaluating "Impact-type SS" players.
Pro Group Opinions:
English Translation
---
A relatively well-balanced player with no major weaknesses.
Semenyo is top 5 level at AMF; anyone who uses him knows. He's not as good at SS as he is at AMF.
Dark-skinned Bale with a 4/4 weak foot; the only issue is that he has no playstyle.
Tess's #1 AMF in their heart—this probably doesn't need much explanation .

Pro Group Opinion: Among hole-player SS (Second Strikers), Hoeneß and BT Leão remain top-tier choices, with BT Semenyo following close behind.
