Advice on trip planned

Hello! I’m new here! I’m travelling to the US soon to visit my friends who are having a baby and her husband works out of the state so she wants me to stay with her for about 89 days…
This is my first time ever leaving Canada by myself and I’m so excited but also nervous and have so many questions

I have the flights all booked and I have been advised I can visit the us for up to 6 months depending on the reason and if I have ties back to Canada where I am a citizen.
I have proof I will be returning for work at the end of my visitor stay as well as I will not be working while I am in the United States at all. Is there anything else I need or am I make the stupidest decision of my life… I will not be staying longer than 3 months and have room and board provided for me as well as meals and transportation.
Any advice would be amazing my family thinks that when I try to go to my flight they will not let me in but if I have proof I’m coming back to Canada and itinerary of where I’ll be staying and who with, I don’t see it being an issue
