Would any Philoise fanfic writers be interested in joining a discord or similar gc/channel?
I often feel like a fandom fanfic writers gc or equivalent would be personally helpful to me in staying motivated and in the flow with my ideas and progress. I'm not sure if anyone else would have any interest?
Ideally this would be a space for Philoise fanfic writers specifically (not sure if anyone would want a Bridgerton fanfic writers as a whole discord, that would seem like a lot and a potential danger zone for fan wars?), where people can just jump in and talk about what they're writing, asking for opinions/advice, motivating each other to keep going and hopefully yield more completed fics in the fandom, giving critiques when asked for, and overall support and camaraderie. Personally, I think it would be super helpful for me, so I assume I can't be the only one out there? Right? lol
My thought is that an open forum/gc/discord would be less individualized pressure vs that of a private 1:1 DM/Beta reader dynamic and more casual and available to whomever is online at the time you are (some people are early birds, night owls, different time zones, etc). Obviously, there are also pros to 1:1 relationships/conversations too and this wouldn't be in place of those, just in addition to!
I've personally never used discord, but from what I understand it may be the best place to host something like this? I'm willing to set one up and manage it if there's interest. If anyone has other hosting site reccos though, I'm all ears!
If this is something that gains momentum, should there be a requirement that you've published at least one chapter of a Philoise fanfic to join? I'd want to encourage soon to post authors as well though, so maybe some type of intake form/requirements but I'm not sure exactly the parameters just yet.
