Narrative story telling of my encounter with Juggernaut

I was playing the other night through Next Evolution campaign and putting together these events as additional scenes or comic stripes to add to the before and after of the campaign comic. I wondered how this event would play as a a cartoon/show would.

I then thought, maybe I'll try writing this out next time I play... so, here's the result of my solo expert Rogue play. Feedback or critique welcome!

Rogue travels to Omaha with Hope at her side to discover the home is a run down orphanage. She’s about to enter when the doors explode outward, sending her flying. When the dust clears, she sees the doorway guarded by a hulking man in a red helmet, the Juggernaut!

Rogue jumps to action and immediately grabs hold of the helmet, uncovering his matted down helmet-hair, tossing the helmet into the bushes. Gambit joins the fray and attacks, tossing a charged card as he sails in to land a hit that barely registers on the Jugg.

Enraged, Jugg moves to maul Rogue, but she had absorbed some of defensive power and deflected the blow without harm. Black Tom Cassidy emerges from the house and uses his dark arts to command the creeping willow to strike! It hits Rogue squarely, but once again is deflected off, however, Rogue loses her defensive glow. Juggernaut takes the cue and sneaks in a quick left jab knocking Rogue back.

Jocasta flies from their jet and places a force field around Rogue. Gambit throws another card this time at the Willow, shredding it up, while he sweeps across Tom. Jocasta and Hope finish the job, blasting Tom straight back into the house, smashing through walls – dust and debris splash everywhere as he settles into the far back. Rogue uses this quick delay and distraction to dial up locations of a safehouse if they need a fall back.

Jugg, still without his helmet, charges at Rogue, bouncing off the protective barrier with a flash. Unfortunately for Gambit, he was in the path and was plowed over along the way! He goes down crying out and remains still.

Hope and Rogue tap into the X-Jet and do an Energy Transfer blasting Jugg. Rogue comes shooting out of the jet with a rocket punch straight to the gut. She appears refreshed! Jugg tries to counter but only manages to bring down the protective shield – again with a flash that stings him. Finding the source of the shield, he is incensed, and charges the android, crushing her through a tree!

Rogue and Hope fly to defend their fallen companion and slam Juggernaut to the side. As Rogue is crouched checking on Jocasta, who appears powered off, Jugg reunites with his helmet and roars with power! Rogue rises up as Jugg is charging back in and delivers a devasting Southern Cross  - staggering Jugg, but his helmet remains! He rears back and drops both fists down on Rogue who raises her arms to deflect, but it’s no good this time! She is flattened. Shockwaves ripple out from the force of the blow!! She barely stirs.

Rogue lays motionless, unable to retaliate. There is small hope remaining…but Hope remains! And she grapples with the mighty Juggernaut, flipping over and once against stripping him of his imbued helm! He flings her to the ground and punches at Rogue who was barely standing, arms again raised to protect, she is pummeled back to the earth!

Hope quickly recovers and comes to Rogue’s aide helping her up and pushing into the sky away – Rogue flies in quick circles over Jugg, dizzying him before she flies back to the Jet – which has since been compromised with a fallen tree – but she hides here for a moment catching her breath. Juggernaut shakes his head looking for his target. An enchanted willow tree constricts around the jet trapping Rogue as Jugg starts to zero in on her.

Juggernaut prepares to charge the crippled jet with Rogue inside, but Nightcrawler appears and blinks her outside and behind the Big Red Machine! Hope imbues Rogue with power just as Jugg turns to receive a knockout blow to the jaw. He crashes down and the heroes stand wounded but victorious!

Nightcrawler tends to Jocasta and Gambit while Rogue and Hope enter the orphanage. They discover a basement and descend. Nothing is found but dust and cobwebs until Hope finds a control panel and pushes a button. A secret panel opens spilling a green glow into the room. Inside is a large room filled with vats of glowing green liquid. And Mr. Sinister waiting for them with a wicked grin!
