How do you clean your fresh piercings?

I had replied to a post and said that my piercer had recommended pH neutral soap (pH neutral is very important here) and it was removed for misinformation. My piercer's advice is to use liquid pH neutral soap and gently clean the piercing in the shower, rince, and dry with a sterile compress.

If my piercier is wrong about the pH neutral soap, how do you clean your fresh piercings?
