Help, night one chair method failure

4 - 6 months

Just needing tips and support. I thought I had this in the bag because we were successful using the chair method with my first who is now 4 and sleeps great still.

My daughter is 4.25m. 17lbs. Healthy. Wakes between 730-830am. Asleep between 8 and 9pm. Naps 2/2/2/2-2.5. Naps lengths are 1.5hr, 1.5hr, 45min. At night for the last month she’s been waking every 2hrs. This is a change from one 1-2 wake ups. We cosleep as safe as possible because of this and because it can take 3hrs to get her in her crib. She is EBF and feeds to sleep. This is what I’m trying to drop as I know it’s causing her to wake in the night and need that to connect her sleep cycles. We are both hurting for consolidated sleep.

So last night. Did night routine. In crib 735 (woke earlier than normal at 715). She cried quite hard for 16min. Then chatted for 7. Then full on scream for the remainder when I picked her up at the 40min mark. My husband came in because I text him that I was failing. He took her to settle her but walked out of the room into the bright hallway and started talking so that ended the sleep training attempt.

Do I just go for it again tonight? She’s fine today. Normal happy self. Just need encouragement.
