Suiting etiquette? Where to change?

Hey all! Going to my first convention in a week with my fullsuit! It’ll be Furry Migration.

I have some questions about suiting- as I understand it, there’s not really a spot to change in and out of suit. I don’t have a hotel room, and where I’m staying is 15 minutes away…will I really need to ride in halfsuit and put the rest on there when we get there? Do I need to plan to carry it or store it in the car when I don’t want to suit any more?

Also, say I pop a seam or something and will have to un-suit to fix it…where can I do that? In the bathroom???

I did a lot of research but these things vary by con and I’m not real sure where the consensus is. Any info, and any other tips y’all can pass my way, I’m all ears!
