How bad is it to miss the first couple of classes after winter break?

Hi there - I’m coming in as a first year undergraduate student in Arts. I’m wondering how inconvenient/bad it would be for me to miss the first couple of classes after winter break (until Jan 7/8th) to join my family on our yearly winter vacation?
