South of France

Hi! Looking to stay in south of France for some of our honeymoon. Would like to stay right in Nice but the accommodations in Toulon are more affordable. Would it be reasonable to stay in Toulon as a home base and visit Nice/Cannes/other towns for day trips? Will be there for 4 nights.
