**Disclosure:** ASUS provided the monitor for review. All opinions are based on my experience with my review sample.

I just finished my full review of the ASUS ROG Swift OLED PG27UCWM.

**Full video review:** [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZstPYm0RRbc](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZstPYm0RRbc)

This is the 26.5-inch Tandem RGB OLED model with 4K at 240Hz, Full HD at 480Hz, a conventional RGB-stripe layout and ASUS’s TrueBlack Glossy coating.

After using it for approximately two and a half weeks, the 27-inch version might be my favorite implementation of this panel technology so far.

A few things that stood out:

* **4K looks incredibly sharp at this size.** At roughly 166 PPI, text, desktop applications, games and Premiere Pro all looked extremely clean. I didn’t notice distracting text fringing from my normal viewing distance.
* **The 480Hz mode makes more sense at 27 inches.** Full HD is still noticeably softer than native 4K, but it looks more usable here than it did on the 32-inch PG32UCWM. Once I stopped inspecting menus and started playing Halo Infinite and DOOM, the motion improvement became the more important difference.
* **There’s a useful 1440p/240Hz middle option.** It reduces GPU load while looking cleaner than 1080p. You can also simulate a smaller 24.5-inch screen for competitive games, which I found surprisingly useful in Halo.
* **TrueBlack Glossy looks beautiful, but it reflects your room.** The picture has none of the haze or grain associated with a matte coating, and blacks remain darker-looking under ambient light than on the original 27-inch 4K QD-OLED panels. However, dark content can reveal sharp, mirror-like reflections.
* **Tint and uniformity were very good on my sample.** Off-axis tint was extremely minimal and difficult to see. I noticed faint OLED texture on a 5% gray pattern, but no major banding, distracting tint or obvious dirty-screen effect during real use.
* **The feature set is extremely complete.** You get full-bandwidth DisplayPort 2.1, HDMI 2.1, USB-C with 90W charging, KVM, PiP/PbP, AI Visual, OLED Care Pro and the Neo Proximity Sensor.

The biggest issue will be the price. At the time of recording, B&H listed it for **$1,199**. That’s expensive when several 27-inch 4K QD-OLED alternatives cost less.

Personally, the price doesn’t bother me quite as much because I’m looking at the complete flagship package—not only the basic panel specification. I prefer this coating, I would actually use the 480Hz mode, and I love how 4K looks at this size.

If it were sitting beside a comparable 27-inch QD-OLED at the same price, I would personally choose the PG27UCWM.

The video covers the calibration results, SDR and HDR experience, reflections, viewing-angle tint, 4K/240Hz versus 1080p/480Hz, 1440p/240Hz, the 24.5-inch mode, VRR flicker, ELMB, KVM, OLED protection and thermals.

Let me know what you think. Would you choose this, the PG27UCDM, another 27-inch QD-OLED or the larger PG32UCWM?

I spent 2.5 weeks testing the ASUS PG27UCWM — 4K/240Hz, 480Hz and the 1440p mode
