Vegan Bolo?

Can anyone recommend any good spots that serve a vegan version of the Bolo do Caco bread? I want my gf to experience such a great local food but she’s vegan. Please feel free to recommend other good vegan food spots. We are staying near the Forum but happy to venture into Funchal etc.
