Should I Restart?

Hi everyone,

I read online you have to do the neutral route once before doing the pacifist/true route, apparently that’s false. I just beat undyne and reached the labratory. Killed a few random enemies so I know I can’t do the true route. Should I restart and go for the true ending or just keeping playing and finish neutral?
