How do I clean nuts and dried fruit from an outdoor market?

So I bought some almonds, walnuts (both non-roasted) and dried blueberries from the market, but as I was leaving I saw a pigeon walking over the exposed almonds in the stall :)

I'm thinking just shake everything around with 5% vinegar for a few seconds and then rinse with water and let dry. Is that good enough? Will there be an aftertaste or will it soak in or whatever?
