Marathon racing shoe recommendations

Looking for my next marathon racing shoe goal is to break into the 2:3x’s.the race is In October Pb is 2:40 wore the Saucony endorphins v1 two years ago and the Alphafly 3 last year for a 2:43. Really like the elite v1 tried v2 but too soft for me , Alphafly was okay didn’t love them. Also tried nb elite 5 was good looking for something with a bit more to it.

Shortlist of shoes to try are puma deviate elite 4 or fast r3 but that one is probably too aggressive let me know if anyone has used it around my time range. Other shoe I’m keen to try is the brooks Hyperion elite 6. Let me know your thoughts and experiences.
