Times when wrestlers worked the "smart marks"

From my understanding smart marks are people who pride themselves in knowing the ins and outs of wrestling and always discuss matches and storylines like they're promotion owners instead of regular fans.

But I heard these guys are also the easiest to fool ,which is kinda funny. Are there any examples of this? I know about two instances that might fit

Sabu and another wrestler (RVD I think?) would mess up top rope spots on purpose and would laugh when fans start chanting "you fucked up"

But probably my favorite is when MJF was facing Sammy Guevara and he pretended he was shoot hurt by calling a desperate audible in the ring, making us think they were ending the match early
