Is this the best way to hack my vwii and install Wii games on it?

For context, I have a Wii U, a solid library of Wii and Wii U games (both physical and digitally purchased/downloaded), and am looking for the best way to get Wii games on it that I don't have, without spending hundreds on eBay.

I have a micro SD card with an adapter for SD card slots.

I assume that even though I'm just looking to get Wii games for the vwii, I'll need to follow the Wii U hack guide for the Aroma environment first.

I've also been told that vimm is the best place to download Wii games, and that they should be on a hard drive with additional power for the back USB, and not on the SD card that would be running the homebrew on the front Wii U panel.

Is this the best way to pirate Wii games and be able to safely enjoy them on my Wii U? (Or, as safe as it gets with piracy)
